The Acorn's Hope Bed & Breakfast welcomes guests to the Berkshires, Tanglewood, Lenox, and Stockbridge Ma, to the finest in Tanglewood Bed and Breakfast lodging. Our ideal location, panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valley and comfortable amenities are at the heart of our informal and relaxing atmosphere. A trio of stately and venerable oak trees frame our expanded 1930's Cape-style cottage, and were the inspiration for our name. The finest in Great Barrington lodging.

The Acorn's Hope is set on over one and a half acres of broad lawn and perennial flower beds, with expansive views to the West across a lovely dairy pasture which provides a foreground for views of Mt. Catamount. To the East, surrounded by an encircling path, lies a pond providing a year-round haven for ducks, Canada geese, the occasional heron, and other wildlife. Our proximity to Tanglewood, Lenox, and Stockbridge Ma, just to our north, make our location ideal for your lodging, and Bed and Breakfast pleasures.

Our Grounds

The Acorn's Hope offers three rooms for you to choose from, each air-conditioned with full private baths and fresh flowers. A full breakfast is served each morning in our dining room, and in cold weather you can enjoy the warmth from the fireplaces in both the dining and living rooms. The Acorn's Hope also offers wireless WiFi.

The Quince Room
The Quince Room, newly updated and repainted a true 'vanilla' the Quince room has the feeling of a charming European suite. New off-white carpeting and lovely oriental rug , upholstered chairs, Oriental lingerie chest plus the lovely cherry sleigh bed and lace curtains enhance the calm elegance of this room. Bathroom en suite.

The Beech Room

The Beech room is the newest addition and the largest room, with lovely cherry floors, overhead fan, A/C, original artwork, and sitting area.  It has a private entrance and large bathroom.  A special country style room exuding charm and comfort.


The Orchid Room 
A private, handicapped accessible entrance leads to this lilac and white room with its crewel-work wing chair, cherry canopied four-poster, 19th Century bureau, and American Cherry floors. The bath has a shower, and is handicapped-accessible.

Our elegant country dècor includes brass and canopied cherry four-poster beds as well as a variety of English, French, and American antiques, vintage fabrics, fresh flowers, and down-filled duvets. Our comfortable living room and formal dining room are each graced by a working fireplace. 

Thick towels, luxury bath amenities and warm robes are provided for every guest. In-room VCRs and our library of movies are always available. 

Mornings begin with a sumptuous breakfast including coffee, Tea choice, juice choice, fresh fruit beautifully presented, bread and muffin basket, entree's from the traditional to the inventive are offered depending on the residing guests preferences.

Vegan, Alkalarian, and vegitarian are available upon request.(prior notice helps).  Of course, your Innkeeper will be available to offer information and suggestions... having lived in the Berkshires since 1987, she can always point you in the right direction whether you're looking for skiing, massage, music, theater, yoga, or the even the best sushi!
