The B.F. Hiestand House is an elegant High Queen Anne style Victorian home conveniently located in the Historic Rivertowne of Marietta along the Susquehanna River. From this location it is a short trip to Hershey, Historic Lancaster City, Pennsylvania Dutch Country, Wineries, Outlets, the Historic Rivertownes of Marietta, Columbia and Wrightsville, and many other local attractions and sights. Please ask us for specific suggestions. Maybe you are interested in a quiet couple of days away from the rush and noise of everyday living...this is the place for that also.

The gracious Inn was designed by local architect C. Emlen Urban, and built in 1887 as the home of B. Frank Hiestand, a well known lumber mill owner of his time, and his family. Three generations of Hiestand's lived in and lovingly cared for the home over a period of 102 years. The house is on the Historic Registry of homes.

Your hosts, Pam and Dallas Fritz (with the help of their friendly dog, Mr. Biggs), will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable, so that you, also, will want to become one of their growing number of repeat visitors.

Vanderslice Suite

Tastefully decorated in shades of purple, pink, and green, this suite features a king sized bed with down duvet and a private sitting room with cable television and VCR. Enjoy the radiant heat and ambiance of the Dimplex Stove. The suite has a private bathroom with a whirlpool tub for 2. Min. 2 night stay on weekends.

Blakemore Room

This room features two antique Oak twin beds, that may be made into a king bed. Decorated in ivory, blue and yellow, the Blakemore is the perfect room for those requiring separate beds. Ensuite bathroom with a single whirlpool tub/shower combo.

Victoria Room

This room, with it's cozy queen sleigh bed is very inviting. Decorated in shades of green and peach, this room has an antique coal fireplace insert, and large bay window. Ensuite bathroom with a single whirlpool tub/shower combo.

Susquehanna Room

This room, with a partial view of the river, is decorated in shades of blue and ivory. It's shaker style four poster cherry queen bed and down duvet is very comfortable. The spacious private bath with stained glass window and hand painted French tile contains an oversized claw foot bathtub and European shower.

Sunporch Room

The Sun Porch is our old summer sleeping porch located in the back of the house. With windows all around, it is a bright, sunny room decorated in gold, peach, green and pink florals. For your sleeping pleasure, enjoy the queen bed with European feather bed and duvet. In the armoire, there is a TV with DVD & VCR. The room has its own air conditioning and heating unit, which you may control. It's private, ensuite bathroom, with original hand painted French tile, has a 6 foot whirlpool tub/shower combo for two.

Sumptuous Breakfasts

Amenities include breakfast served daily, afternoon tea daily, double, queen & king size beds, hot tub, TV, VCR & movie library, fireplaces in public rooms, air-conditioning and our wrap around veranda with wicker furniture.

Prices are based on double occupancy. A fee of $15 is charged for each additional person in a room
If traveling with children and/or pets, please inquire about availability. There will be an additional fee for pets.
A deposit of one night is required to hold your room.
Deposits, less a $20 handling fee, are refundable with a 7 day notice, otherwise they will be applied for a future stay.
