The rustic, log cabin style exterior belies its gracious, cozy interior. Located 90 minutes north of Minneapolis & St. Paul, near the Grand Casino Hinckley and Hole in the Wall Casino, we are just over an hour from St. Cloud or Duluth / Superior and minutes from the Wisconsin state line.

This Northern Minnesota Resort Lodge was designed with privacy and comfort in mind. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery and are a safe destination. A recent guest commented that he could feel his shoulders relax the minute he walked in the front door. The Dakota Lodge Bed n' Breakfast features four guest rooms with private baths, double whirlpool tubs, and fireplaces.

Guest Rooms


Bently

A large room with a European King bed, which can be arranged as twin beds to accommodate single travelers. Please specify. A 1920's Armoire, is complemented by an antique pedestal table and chairs.A comfortable love seat faces the wood burning fireplace. Bentley's huge private bath features a double whirlpool tub.

Kathryn
The quaint Kathryn Room features a queen size bed, double whirlpool tub, and private bathroom. An oak table and chairs invite guests to write letters, read, or play one of our many board games. A comfortable love seat is perfect for curling up in and reading a good book. Enjoy the electric fireplace year round.

Guest Rooms


Medora

This cozy and inviting room in our Bed n' Breakfast, offers our guests views to both the south and east. The Medora Room features a queen bed, large double whirlpool tub, and private bathroom. The décor is rose tones with black accents. An Antique couch and chair face the electric fireplace making it a sweet place to rest and relax in privacy!

Pinkham
The Pinkham is our deluxe suite; a perfect choice for our honeymoon guests! The king-size brass bed and sumptuous double whirlpool bath offer our guests a wonderful backdrop for a romantic stay! There is also a full bath, with tub and shower. An antique couch and chair set before the wood-burning fireplace invites intimate conversation.

Cabins


Kettle Cabin

Set on 16 wooded acres on the bluffs of the Kettle river, in Minnesota, this three bedroom cabin is a great escape. Ideal for families with room for the children to run and play, great for small groups with the vaulted ceiling great room yet plenty of room for privacy, including  a fireplace.

The Guest House
Enjoy the peace and quiet of a private north woods hideaway! Our guesthouse is a fully furnished home away from home with the cozy ambiance of a well-appointed knotty pine guesthouse. 

It features two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other has two twins, there is a sofa sleeper in the living room, a single whirlpool tub, laundry facilities, central air, and a three-season porch.
Retreats


Guest Room

Our Country Garden Retreat is open to groups of up to 20 guests. We are a perfect getaway for all types of retreats and gatherings including crafting or scrapbooking retreats, corporate retreats, small family reunions, or for friends who just want to relax or explore the North Woods of Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Meeting Room
Our cropping/meeting room is easily converted into a small conference room with seating for up to 40 meeting participants. A large TV with a dvd/vcr player are already set up in the meeting room, and large dry erase boards on site. Wireless high speed internet is available for our guests. Business groups will find that the living room, dining room, library and sun room are ideal for break out rooms.

Dining Room
Breakfast at the Lodge begins with fresh brewed coffee and the aroma of muffins or breads baking in the oven. Deb believes that old-fashioned cooking is what most people want first thing in the morning. 

Sumptuous Breakfasts
You will find seasonal fresh fruit at every breakfast, along with herbal teas, and hot cocoa. 

If you have special meal requirements or prefer particular breakfast foods, Deb will be happy to create a breakfast to suit you.
