approximately a half hour west of Woodstock, New York - only 2 1/2 hours
from NYC and just 1 1/2 hours from Albany. You can also catch a bus at
Port Authority and get dropped off just a couple miles down the road in
nearby Big Indian. |
The natural beauty
of the property is quietly breathtaking. Mountains rise up all around,
with 80,000 acres of wilderness beyond. Wildlife abounds. The
crystal-clear waters of the Esopus Creak gently carved through ancient
mosque covered rocks. The air is so sweet and pure, you can practically
taste it. |

| A variety of affordable
lodges and housekeeping cottages are available, including a turn-of-the-century
country inn with simple, charming guest rooms, a wrap-around sun porch,
lobby, library, pool and dining room/cafe. On weekend's and for large mid
week routes, our chef prepares breakfast and a healthy buffet style dinner
with traditional and vegetarian options. |
"Music and art in
nature" is a central theme at Full Moon. Music is always in the air,
with concerts and dances in the smoke-free Performance Space and Bar, intimate
acoustic shows in the Cafe and impromptu jam sessions on the porches
and around the campfire. The musical quilts comes in many colors; world
beat, jam bands, blues, funk, jazz, reggae, bluegrass and more. Guests
are welcome to bring instruments. Original works by some of the region's
finest artists grace the walls of the hotel. Our grand old bar also
serves as a rustic gallery and meeting place complete with an antique regulation
pool table! |
