Green Park Inn is one of the South’s oldest hotels. Established in 1882 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is situated 4300 feet up into the Blue Ridge Mountains, on the Eastern Continental Divide. Noted as being the highest hostelry in the east, the Inn is located in close proximity to the quaint village of Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

Guests can enjoy all the charm and comforts of a Victorian yesteryear in an atmosphere of quiet relaxation. It is an escape from the hectic pace of today into a world of nineteenth century tranquility. Its windows have been framed for nearly 120 years of seasons...their traces still linger like the cool mist of a mountain dawn.

The Inn has a sprawling Victorian-style porch, with white wicker furniture where guests can enjoy the afternoon sunshine and cool summer breezes.

The award winning, restored lobby is a favorite gathering place. The library offers a quiet place for cards and reading. Our library is available for private parties and functions.

A beautifully landscaped pool area is available for lounging or private parties.

Guest Rooms

The Green Park Inn offers 22 tastefully appointed guestrooms and suites that have private balconies with views of our pool and the Blowing Rock Country Club golf course. Additionally, we have 63 clean, comfortable rooms in the historic original section of the inn. All of these rooms are naturally cooled by gentle mountain breezes and ceiling fans.

Each of our rooms reflects a time when heads of states, noted actors, playwrights, and business leaders graced the halls of the "Grand Dame" of the South. Such figures as Franklin Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, and J.D. Rockefeller would bring their entourage to the Green Park for lavish galas and tranquil days of rest and relaxation.

The Divide Tavern
The Divide Tavern, named for its geographic placement on the Eastern Continental Divide, offers guests a place to enjoy good food, drink and fellowship in a cozy setting. Serving Breakfast and Dinner daily.

The Laurel Room
The Laurel Room offers a breakfast buffet seven days a week & is available for weddings and events year-round. The room's famed multi-leveled function room mirrors its Victorian heritage in the casual atmosphere of today, and for functions as well as all ABC Permits.
