The Hale House Inn, a 19th century Greek Revival home is just a short stroll from downtown Jefferson Texas, where during the mid-1800's a flourishing riverport town became known as the gateway to the southwest.

Built in the 1880's, it later became the personal residence of Miss May Belle Hale. Miss Hale was a prominent Jeffersonian, an accomplished musician and published composer for many years. 

Current owners, Timm and Karen Jackson, have added their touch to its elegance. The Inn is comfortably furnished with gorgeous period antiques and has been restored to include modern conveniences, along with its hardwood floors, antique mirrors, and even an antique melodia built in 1750.

Six beautifully appointed guest rooms, each with its own private bath, and a charming veranda and gazebo where you can choose to have breakfast, all make The Hale House Inn a delightful setting to spend a night or a week, celebrate a honeymoon or an anniversary or any other special occasion of your life.

Your day can then be spent sightseeing in this intriguing town with its many antique shops and historic homes or relaxing with your favorite book in one of our two common areas. You can even watch your favorite sporting event on our big screen TV or enjoy your favorite movie on the flat screen LCD in your room.

Guest Information
Reservations: We recommend that all reservations be made by calling 1.903.665.9955 between 9 am and 9 pm daily or anytime online on our website. Reservations require one night or 50% deposit, whichever is larger, to hold your room(s) until arrival. The balance is due upon arrival. Requirements may differ for holidays, special occasions or full-house parties.

Minimum Stay: Although we have a two-night minimum reservation on weekends, we often have single Friday or Saturday nights become available due to adjacent reservations.

Cancellations: At The Hale House Inn, you never pay for something you do not receive. None of us ever intends to cancel, but sometimes we find ourselves in that situation. If you must cancel, and do so 8 or more days prior to your stay,your deposit less a $30 service fee will be returned to you. Less than 8 day cancellations are charged full rate to your credit card but you will be issued a gift certificate that is transferable and lasts for up to six months. Early departures are regarded as cancellations. All cancellations must be made in person or by phone. Voice mail and emailed cancellations will not be honored. 

Payment: For your convenience, we accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, checks or cash.

Arrivals & Departures: Check-in is from 4 - 6 pm. Please let us know if you will be arriving after 6 pm. Check-out is 11 am.

Smoking: Please confine smoking outside in the garden area.

Children: Children over the age of 12 are welcomed if accompanied by a parent.

Pets: Sorry, we cannot accommodate pets, but we will gladly assist you in finding boarding facilities
