| The Hale House
Inn, a 19th century Greek Revival home is just a short stroll from downtown
Jefferson Texas, where during the mid-1800's a flourishing riverport town
became known as the gateway to the southwest.
Built in the
1880's, it later became the personal residence of Miss May Belle Hale.
Miss Hale was a prominent Jeffersonian, an accomplished musician and published
composer for many years.
Current owners,
Timm and Karen Jackson, have added their touch to its elegance. The Inn
is comfortably furnished with gorgeous period antiques and has been restored
to include modern conveniences, along with its hardwood floors, antique
mirrors, and even an antique melodia built in 1750.
Six beautifully
appointed guest rooms, each with its own private bath, and a charming veranda
and gazebo where you can choose to have breakfast, all make The Hale House
Inn a delightful setting to spend a night or a week, celebrate a honeymoon
or an anniversary or any other special occasion of your life.
Your day can
then be spent sightseeing in this intriguing town with its many antique
shops and historic homes or relaxing with your favorite book in one of
our two common areas. You can even watch your favorite sporting event on
our big screen TV or enjoy your favorite movie on the flat screen LCD in
your room. |
