Guest Rooms

Marietta Room

Marietta Howell married George Kohlhagen in 1894. Featured in this large room is the wood-burning fireplace mantel Marietta completed before the turn of the century. Vertical-grained fir walls are original in this east bedroom.

Two beds grace this room, the Royal Crown king and a period Cast Iron double, each topped with a hand-quilted comforter.

Frances Room
Frances Howell came to Roseburg with her parents in 1884. She was a schoolteacher and bookkeeper. Her west room, overlooking the backyard, is decorated in her favorite colors, lavender and rose. The room has a high back oak queen bed.

Guest Rooms

Second Floor Landing

Guests are welcomed into the front parlor and also have access to a cozy sitting room on the second floor, between the two bed and breakfast rooms.

The two rooms on the north end of the house are named after Martin Ryerson and Mary Ann Pulis Howell's daughters' Marietta and Frances.

A smaller room off of the south landing was historically used as the maid's quarters, and is presently used as an overflow guest room.

Each room has a private bath. The baths each feature a claw foot tub and bubble bath and scented cubes for your soaking pleasure.

The Apartment
For additional privacy, we offer a cozy and separate apartment. It includes a full kitchen complete with all the cooking and eating utensils necessary for an enjoyable family or romantic getaway. Call for more information and rates.
