At Holiday Pet Hotel boarding is our primary business, not an auxiliary service such as at a veterinary clinic and not a ‘part time job’ to supplement income such as most pet sitters. 

Your pets are very special to you and we want you to know that they are equally special to us, more importantly they are the only reason we exist!

Our pets are very special to us. They enrich our lives daily and provide us with a unique kind of companionship, not available with our other contacts in life. In our absence, our special friends deserve the best caregivers we can find and a clean and secure environment.

Boarding your pet is the best alternative for care of your pet in your absence. The selection of this temporary home is an important decision. Holiday Pet Hotel strives to provide your companion, at any stage of life, an environment that greatly exceeds basic necessities.

You can board your pet for just a day or for a month or more. We offer large discounts for multiple dogs and cats sharing the same accommodations. At Holiday, we are always here when you need us!

Dogs
Our doggie guests at Holiday Pet Hotel have the best of both worlds. Our kennel offers various accommodations dependant upon your dog’s needs and our discretion.

Each guest has his or her own room for sleeping, eating and relaxing and in addition, each guest has available an outside exercise run for several hours of the day. 

This is a very natural environment for your dog and most similar to home. Both areas have a raised bed or bedding for him to rest on. 

Our inside rooms are climate controlled for your pet’s comfort and his outside areas are shaded. Larger breeds will probably have an ‘indoor –outdoor’ run. They have access, via a doggie door, to their outside exercise area and can come and go as they please.

Our kennel area offers various accommodations dependant upon your dog’s needs and our discretion. Every one enjoys plenty of daytime activity in outside runs, and for the more rambunctious, we have large play yards. This healthy, fresh air environment provides for natural activity, therefore not interrupting normal routines. Each evening all our guests retire to warm, comfortable beds.

Only quality, nutritionally balanced foods are fed, but if the owner prefers, he may bring his dog’s regular diet from home. Prescription diets are available on request.

Clean, indoor/outdoor dog kennels provide security and freedom of choice for your pet, and you’ll rest easier knowing that our facility has received excellent ratings from San Diego County Animal Control.

Pajamas


The Cat’s Pajamas is our internationally acclaimed, home away from home for cats. Expandable, multi-level condos allow felines from the same family to stay together, or one kitty can just enjoy more space.

You’ll fall in love with our spacious, sunlit, living rooms where your kitty’s custom designed, multi-level condo is located. All rooms feature soft beds and most offer window views. Your kitty will also enjoy soft music and/or kitty video entertainment. VIP playtime for extra attention is available.

Our feline guests are cared for by meticulous caretakers who closely monitor and fuss over each guest during their stay.

Our cat rooms are heated and air-conditioned and for your pet’s health our exhaust and ventilation  system provides for twelve, 100% fresh air changes per hour.

Our guests are fed twice daily, IAMS kibble and Friskies canned foods. If you wish you may bring your cat’s diet from home.

Luxury Cat Suites
For those who want the very best, The Cats
Pajamas offers your cat suites that mimic some of the best vacation spots in the world. How about a stay in our Mexico Suite for that sassy youngster? Or for the Cool Cat that likes to cruise, a trip on our Feline Fun Ship? Our Cat Suites are very popular and do require a minimum stay/charge of least five nights.

Once you see, we know you’ll agree, we’ve gone out of our way to place your cat in the lap of luxury!
Dog & Cat Day Care
If you need to get away for the day for any reason, or if you have a pet that gets bored and lonely at home or destructive, this is for you! Holiday offers two types of day care, Day Care and Day Boarding, they are both offered, Monday through Friday only. Pets must be picked up before 6:00PM, here are the differences:
Day Care
is designed for the lonely or bored pet and includes treats and a playtime session
during the day. Puppies and kittens under six months will receive one feeding mid-day. Cost
$20.00
Day Boarding
is offered for the client who needs this service daily or frequently throughout the month. Pets are given a room with the basics. To prevent dietary upsets, no feedings are included unless requested. Cost $12.00.

Playtime Activities
Your Pet’s Resort works hard at making your pet’s stay into a fun vacation! During summer months we offer Frosty Paws and Popsicles as special treats. On holiday weekends you’ll find us at the barbecue grilling up some tasty hot dogs for our lucky guests. All activities are subject to change and optional for a fee. 

Playtime Programs:
Although our normal daily routine provides for plenty of activity for your pet we offer several types of extra activity, extra hands-on services.  These are beneficial for all pets, regardless of age or physical condition, and range from tug-o-war to gentle petting and lap sitting.  All are available as many times daily as you choose.
V.I.P. Playtime
For cats and dogs, this is an interactive play session.  Inside, of course, for cats and outside for dogs.  It usually includes playing with, petting, light brushing and treats.  But we’re open to suggestion, tell us what your pet enjoys most!  Sessions last about 15 minutes.

Group Play (Dogs Only)
Dogs of the same size and nature, no aggressive dogs or unneuterd males allowed, turned out to romp in our large exercise yards,  Soccer is a favorite! Sessions are longer than above and are supervised.

Individual Playtime (Dogs Only)
Single dogs or dogs from the same family, entertain themselves for extra exercise.  Great for the over-weight pet or the extra active pet.

Holiday Office Hours: Due to the high traffic and high boarding demand around holidays, our office hours will change. Our office is normally closed on New Year’s Day.; Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We are sometimes closed or close earlier on other days surrounding the busiest holidays. We will occasionally be closed on the Sunday before a Monday holiday rather than on the observed day. This usually is decided by our customer’s needs.

Regardless of our office hours, our staff still work full time, every day, to care for your pets.
Holiday Pet Hotel is located on I-5, approximately 25 miles north of San Diego, at 551 Union Street.

From The South:  Take I-5 North to Encinitas Blvd. exit to the right, make the first left urn, at the signal, onto Saxony Road, drive approx. ¼ mile to Union St.;  Union is a dead end street and Holiday is located at the end of the street on the left.  Proceed down the drive to the office.

From the North: Take I-5 South to Encinitas Blvd., exit to the left (under the freeway), make the first left turn, at the signal, onto Saxony Rd., drive approx. ¼ mile to Union St., Union is a dead end street and Holiday is located at the end of the street on the left.  Proceed down the drive to the office.
