The Moondance Inn Bed and Breakfast features very spacious guestrooms, each having a two-person whirlpool, electric fireplace, central AC, and beautiful antique furniture. We serve complementary wine and appetizers on Friday and Saturday nights and a gourmet breakfast both Saturday and Sunday morning. Weekdays we serve a sumptuous breakfast and afternoon fresh baked cookies. A continental breakfast of fresh fruit, juice, a home baked goody, and coffee/tea is available every day if you would rather dine ensuite.

Your beautiful, private room is only the beginning of your Moondance experience. Our breakfasts are sumptuous featuring local, farm fresh produce and eggs, and award winning home baked pastries. With advanced notification, we are also skilled in preparing special breakfast menus to fit individual diet needs.

Our Minnesota bed and breakfast  is an easy walk to all downtown Red Wing MN shops and restaurants, as well as scenic parks along the Mississippi. Red Wing is only an hour's drive from Minneapolis and St. Paul, but you will feel that you have traveled hundreds of miles. Rugged bluff country, the Mississippi River, and an 1870's historic district filled with shops and restaurants will transport you from your every day life. 

The National Trust for Historic Places rated Red Wing as one of the top 12 tourist destinations in the United States to view historic architecture.

Gypsy

Put your feet up by the fire and take in this magnificent room. Rich silks and satins and a fantastic wall covering incorporating reds, whites, and greens will please the eye. The elegant European bedroom set, built in 1905 features a comfortable queen size bed. There is a nice view of one of the Moondance Inn Bed and Breakfast gardens.

King's Room
Put on your comfy Moondance Inn bathrobes and lounge on the giant 4-poster king sized bed. 

Or, sit in front of the fire in the oversized leather chairs and read a good book. A beautiful damask duvet blends seamlessly with the gold and sage colors. Mississippi River bluffs provide a fine view.

Soak in a luxurious bath and watch the stars come out at night. Enjoy views of Mississippi River bluff country. 

Converse with the one you love by the fire. This room of dusty rose and pink is light and airy and has a classic Eastlake bedroom set with queen sized bed.

Bluff View
Lie on an exquisite queen sized Italian bed and watch the fire's flames dance. Recline in your whirlpool and take in the Art Nouveau style steeped in deep green and burgundy colors that create a sense of peace. Look out on the bluffs of Red Wing. 

And bring your laptop. The Moondance Inn is wireless!

 

The Garden Suite

Cozy Comforts
This is our most secluded guestroom. Meditate on the vibrant garden views and then relax in your private whirlpool room that features an original tin ceiling from 1874. Stroll into your bedroom and sip a glass of wine by the fire. This suite is decorated in blue and gold with numerous art pieces on the walls. The antique furnishings include an oak queen sized bed.

The Guesthouse Next Door is a 1904 Victorian home located in the heart of Red Wing and is an easy walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants. Whether it is good conversation on the back deck, your first morning coffee on the front porch, or watching the kids and pets frolic in the private backyard from your chair in the gazebo, you will find the Guesthouse Next Door a perfect vacation rental property.

Dining Room
The Guesthouse features four bedrooms, two baths, complete kitchen with dishes and dishwasher, laundry facilities, deck with gazebo and grill and a front porch. Children and pets are welcome. Scrapbooking at the Guesthouse next door is easy and affordable..
