Your Host - Herb Oliver
A warm welcome and generous hospitality always await you here at the Oliver Lodge.

Built in 1906 the Oliver Lodge and its grounds occupy 5 private acres of shoreline on the beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee, a 72 square mile, crystal clear lake with over 300 islands, 8 small towns and stunning mountain scenery. Each season offers endless recreational opportunities for you to enjoy!

Oliver Lodge is a perfect place for a little R&R. You can enjoy a book curled up on a big white wicker rocker over looking the lake or sitting in front of a fieldstone fireplace. You can also relax at the water's edge on one of the chaise lounge's on the boat house deck. Perhaps a game of tennis or a lazy paddle in one of the canoes.

Six family rentals are available here at the Oliver Lodge. They all include full housekeeping kitchens with dishwashers and microwaves. Additional guests can rent rooms in the main lodge.

We offer specials for off season travelers.

Guest Comments
Charming house! Old New England, rustic and comfortable... Porches ! Breakfast on a sun-warmed porch, lunch under awnings on another, cocktails on yet another. All enhanced by lapping waters of crystal clear lake Winnipesaukee , lovely sandy beaches, canoes... The kitchen - big, easy, everything available...the hospitality, like staying with friends!"H & F Iglehardt, Maryland

"Everyone had the same word for it " magical " and the rich experience of the days spent at the Oliver Lodge was made more golden by the beautiful, clean, well-equipped and spacious quarters. I had never guessed we had such a local treasure."Sandy Fisken, Meredith, New Hampshire

"I think back to special moments spent in your wicker sofa, doors open, breezes blowing, lake water shining ( and ,oh, those beautiful geraniums! ), or to the morning's first cold splash of water on my face at my sink in my lovely, quiet, antique "bamboo room"...We have a great time wherever we go, we love people and are flexible. I think it is very safe to say that Oliver Lodge has raised the standards to an extraordinary ( and maybe even impossible !) height for any future Tourtellot Family Vacations." The Tourtellot Family, Charlotte, North Carolina

"The Oliver Lodge is an excellent facility because of its location on the lake with close proximity to town, and because of the privacy afforded by the multiple houses. We hope to come back often!" J. Brenner
