We are conveniently located in the central Berkshires - a short drive to downhill or cross country SKIING at Butternut, Catamount, Jimminy Peak and Bosquet. For summer visitors we are 5 minutes from the Tanglewood Main Gate and Stockbridge and Lenox Theaters.

Originally a stage coach stop in the early 1800s, the Shaker Mill Inn became the home of the inventor Anson Clark who, among his many inventions, brought us the glass slide used in early photography.

All of our efficiency suite style rooms offer convenient amenities such as: free wireless internet and local phone calling, cable TV and DVDs, mini-refrigerators, toaster ovens, microwaves, coffee makers, hair dryers, oversize towels, extra blankets and pillows. 

Two of our suites have fireplaces and our Honeymoon Suite boasts a large jacuzzi for two.

Our 1 and 2 bedroom suites are fully equipped and offer full kitchens with service for six. Original artworks by area artists compliment the decor. All this along with our eager, helpful staff will make your stay with us one to remember!

Take the Taconic PKWY to it’s end at the intersection of Interstate 90. Go east 1 exit to the Cannan, Austerlitz exit. Go right onto Rt. 22 south for 300 yards and turn left onto rt. 102. Take Rt. 102, 3 miles to the intersection of Rt 41. Turn right onto Rt. 41, go approx. 300 yards to the Shaker Mill Restaurant on the right. Turn onto Oak St. we are located at #2 Oak St. behind the restaurant.

Take the Mass Pike west to exit #1. At the top of the exit ramp turn right. Go 200 yards to Rt. 102 turn left. This will become Main St. Follow along until you see the Shaker Mill Restaurant, turn left as you are going by on Oak St. We are located at #2 Oak St. behind the restaurant.

Take interstate 91 north to the Mass Pike. Get onto the Pike going west follow the directions from Boston above.

Take the Northway south to Albany N.Y. In Albany get onto interstate 90. Take I90 to Cannan, Austerlitz exit and then follow directions from NYC.
