The Wildflower Inn is located just one block from Penobscot Bay where you can watch the tides. Come to the Wildflower as our guests, leave as our friends..

Each morning you will awaken to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and be treated to an enticingly delicious breakfast. Where the day takes you from there is entirely up to you!  Since we are situated between Bar Harbor and Rockland, many destinations are within an hour’s drive from the Inn.

For our guests' enjoyment, the Wildflower Inn has  a lounge area with digital cable TV, books, and games; a large dining room with a fireplace; two beautifully decorated and comfortable sitting parlors with a view of the bay; over one half acre of beautiful and colorful gardens, complete with fountains, a pond, and numerous bird baths and feeders; and outside sitting areas, including our side  porch with comfortable adirondack chairs and rockers.

Our four unique guest rooms are tastefully decorated in a blend of past and present. We Offer king-sized beds, private baths, in-room coffee makers, air-conditioning, cable TV and wireless Internet.

This spacious, front guest room has a view of the bay, private bath and in-room Jacuzzi tub complete with a king bed, fireplace, sitting area, cable TV/VCR, and in-room coffee maker.




Sage
Complete with a sitting area, cable TV/VCR, and in-room coffee maker, the Sage Room has a king bed,  and private bath with shower. Can be reserved with the adjoining Viola Room for a family suite.

Well appointed with a private bath with shower, ceiling fan, cable TV,  and in-room coffee maker, this room, with its queen bed and additional day bed is well suited for couples and for friends traveling together. Can be combined with the adjoining Sage Room for a family suite.

Guest Information
  • All rates are based on double occupancy exclusive of taxes, and include a full breakfast.
  • No additional fees for one-night stays. An additional charge of $20 per night will be added for each extra person.
  • Please call for policies regarding children.
  • Gift Certificates Are Available.
  • Seasonal and holiday specials are available for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Day.
  • Rates are subject to change.
  • Arrival/Departure Times:  Preferred check-in times are after 3:00 p.m. and prior to 7:00 p.m. unless special arrangements have been made.  Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
  • Early morning coffee and tea are available in the dining room at 7:00 a.m.  Breakfast is served each morning at 8:30 a.m.  Please provide any special dietary requirements when making reservations.  With advance notice, we will be happy to provide a "breakfast to go" for those guests who must depart prior to 8:30 a.m.
  • Reservation Policy:  A deposit of one night’s stay or 50% of your total stay (whichever is greater) will be charged to your credit card at the time you reserve your room and applied against your total bill at checkout. Reservations are recommended.
  • We accept MasterCard, Visa, cash, checks, and travelers checks.
  • Cancellation Policy:  Your room deposit will be returned less a $25 processing fee for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the arrival date. Deposits are nonrefundable if cancelled within 14 days of arrival date.
  • Our Inn is a nonsmoking establishment.  Smoking outside the inn is permitted.
  • Regretfully, no pets.   Jakie, our resident cat, who never enters our guest rooms and generally stays in our Owner's Quarters, would not approve.
