Welcome to Chicago and Lincoln Park’s premier bed and breakfast inn. When your lodging choice is a reservation in one of our Victorian Mansion’s guest rooms or in a self-contained apartment in the coach house, you’ll find your urban visit enhanced by luxurious surroundings—fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, spacious sitting rooms and an ivy covered courtyard garden.
All accommodations, named after Chicago authors, have eclectic, individual, Chicago themed decor. Throughout there is a wealth of Chicago art and artifacts. Your innkeepers admit to being chauvinistic about their city and look forward to sharing their enthusiasm.
At the Windy City Urban Inn you’ll stay in Lincoln Park, one of Chicago’s nicest neighborhood. Our lovingly restored Victorian mansion offers elegant, comfortable guestrooms decorated in luxurious fabrics and tasteful antiques. Three self-contained apartment suites in our beautifully renovated coachhouse provide maximum privacy in serene surroundings.
Comfort is key at the Windy City Urban Inn. Relax in a whirlpool bath, savor a hearty complimentary breakfast, complete with local specialties, curl up with a Chicago book on our library’s window seat, give an impromptu concert on our piano, sip lemonade in our ivy-covered garden or sherry by the fireplace.

The Garden
A room of it’s own! This ivy covered brick courtyard garden is a tranquil oasis in the middle of this busy city. Many of the plantings are from a line developed by the Chicago Botanic Gardens and the Morton Arboretum for our charming climate.  Rounding these out are a variety of white perennials, a water fountain and birdhouses.

The Inn is an ideal venue for groups of up to 20.  Because we devote the whole facility to each group, we can concentrate on tailoring all arrangements to your unique needs and preferences.  Companies that used to drive a couple of hours for their retreats have found that now they don’t have to ‘go away to get away’. It’s sophisticated yet informal atmosphere, provides a homey and intimate setting for a creative and productive get together, and all of the city’s delights are close at hand when the work is done.
It is also a favorite of companies exhibiting at McCormick Place convention center that are tired of the downtown hotel scene and are looking for an alternative.
