Three unique guest rooms, each with its own charm. Of special significance is the "Chapel Bath" with a story to tell all its own. Admire the beautiful hand carved floor-to-ceiling oak fireplace and Delft tiled hearth as you snuggle by the fire in winter.In summer curl up on the porch swing with a tall a glass of peach iced tea and enjoy the impressive examples of Colonial architecture that surround you -- several historic churches and one of the most magnificent Town Halls in all New England. Located midway between Boston and Providence, the Eddy House is equally accessible to both Logan Airport and TF Green Airport. Also, just 1 mile to Interstate 495 for highway travel or 1 mile to the MBTA Commuter Rail for convenient, hassle free, train service into Boston. |

the Baths...The Zachariah Eddy House was built in 1831 as a Greek revival
home and renovated in the late 1800’s with Colonial revival detail. It
still retains most of its original beauty and charm. Bathrooms are located
just a few steps away from each bedroom at either end of a common hallway.
There are two baths and three guest rooms. At full occupancy one guest
room is booked with a private bath and the other two guest rooms share
the second bath. When occupancy allows, private baths may be actually available
with two of the guest rooms.
![]() Copperbeech Room...nestled in the shade of a 200 year old copperbeech tree...features beautiful bird’s eye maple woodwork, a half turret vaulted ceiling and original inlaid design pattern parquet flooring. Make a selection from our library and curl up with a good book in the antique rocker, or perhaps on the built in window seat. As evening draws nigh, the brass bed beckons. Enjoy sweet dreams in this queen-size bed with a lush, top of the line mattress. |
Guest Rooms
Cranberry Room...bright and airy with (4) large windows overlooking historic South Main Street. Decorated in hues of vibrant cranberry and emerald green, it brings to mind the region’s cranberry bogs at harvest. A spacious king-size bed insures comfort and is accented by a beautiful hand painted Trevor Watson antique English Victorian dresser. A twin bed option (2) is available on request. ![]() The Milliner’s Room...offers a charming antique Victorian full-size bed and an interesting collection of ladies and gentlemen’s hats. Of special significance is the original gold leaf sign from an early 1900’s milliner shop, “Bon Mode” owned and operated by the innkeeper’s grandmother. The Milliner’s Room is tucked away in a quiet corner for those who prefer more privacy. For added convenience it’s just one step away from “The Other Bath”. |

A Hearty Breakfast
breakfast is included in room rate. Places where breakfast is served: Formal
Dining Room and Sundeck. Special meals available: Lobster Dinners and our
signatur edish, authentic New England Clam Chowder, hearty in flavor from
native quahogs (hardshell clams) which we harvest ourselves.
Fresh Bountiful Lobster Also from May to October, we feature our own freshly caught lobsters in a variety of dishes; omeletes at breakfast, appetizer dips, and lobster dinner specials. We also feature native products in season, highlighted of course by cranberries and cranberry specialty dishes. |
![]() From Logan Airport, Boston: Exit the Airport through the Callahan/Sumner Tunnel to Boston and Interstate 93. Take Interstate 93 South. At the Braintree split, the road will fork. Route 3 (which is actually Exit 7) bears to the left and Interstate 93 South bears to the right. Continue to stay on Interstate 93 South (DO NOT bear left here and end up on Route 3). Follow for about 3 more miles and then take Exit 4 onto Route 24 South. The sign will say Brockton/Fall River. Stay on Route 24 for about 15-20 minutes. Then take Exit 14A onto Interstate 495 South to Middleborough. Get off Interstate 495 at Exit 4, Middleborough. Then left at bottom of ramp onto Route 105 North (South Main Street). Zachariah Eddy House is one mile on left. We are immediately before the Town Hall and there is a sign in front of the house. From T.F Green Airport, Providence: Follow Interstate 95 N through Providence to Interstate 495 S (toward Cape Cod). Get off at Exit 4. At bottom of ramp take left onto South Main Street (Route 105 N) . Zachariah Eddy House is one mile on left. We are adjacent to the Town Hall and there is a sign in front of the house. |
